HAHA after serving onboard the USS Kitty Hawk CV-63 while in Airwing 5 98-2001 forward deployed out to the Persian Gulf, from Atsugi and Yokosuka base Japan, These folks have it easy... The Nitmiz is newer than the busted up old kittyhawk, and the Navy is Softer now than back then. Of course we were properly the Best at what we did doing everything the Worst way possible because of lack of supplies. Our Ship Store wasn't as Big as thiers, and we were really a bunch of old seadogs, I miss the Navy, but politics changed it to much. When you get stationed Overseas most rules seem to go out the window, it's then more of a real lifestyle, I guess they tuned it down here since this was made for TV. These kids don't know how easy they have it. Plus they all have the Newer planes Heck I was working on F-14's 36 hour no sleep straight working at times because of the problems with the planes. Maintance on them was insane. I remember one time while on watch I called Man Overboard because I heard a splash and saw a flashlight in the water at night. It happened to be due to someone up top thew out their trash and accidently toss their flashlight as well. But everyone still had to get up and muster.
