I should have read the reviews before watching this episode. The so called scientist are inept and irrational unwilling to accept or analyze their mistakes or other theories. The are preoccupied in proving, by brute force and in their own terms, their theories and do not allow questioning of their "success".

She is awful, she is condescending, she is full of herself. That was pure ego after being shown that there was no way pulling a sled would work to get it to the platforms, unless, of course, you wished to have people pulling underwater, naturally they'd do that just to keep her 'right'. Oiy.

it's not worth watching. Read the comments. That redheaded woman needs to be never be allowed on any scientific journal type show such as Nova. She should be ashamed of how she presented herself to the world in this show.

I agree with Wyatt, Absolutely! I stopped the show to check discussions and reviews for this exact type of opinion!The female absolutely feels superior, and the other two younger males act as if the older guy, whom actually thought up his own stuff, was inferior and beneath them. They gave him leftOVER materials and "a day" to prove his stuff while ridiculing him. Ridiculous! The bickering and inadequate knowledge of these "scientists" make me incredibly sad! They knew NOTHING of basic physics and engineering. They ridiculed everyone else as "inferior" and the person that could pretend to be the most intelligent, became the pack leader. This show is a waste of money and it most definitely should have been put together with real, reputable scientists that can "give good brain" instead of pretend and steal already commonly discussed ideas! One of the reasons that only a few scientists are well known is because of people like these; they have too much "self worth" and are threatened by anyone that may be more intelligent or creative in their field.. thus making the newbies jump through hoops, trials, and tests and become discouraged from continuing or not want to get into such a rat race in the first place! This was nothing but a demonstration on the inability of people to refrain from peer pressure and retain their own self esteem. This show has almost absolutely nothing to do with the techniques used to make them, Easter Island's culture, or the Island's actual geography and landscape. Nothing of true value!

The female scientist needs to take step back and take a look at herself. It's not hard to see that she has a superiority complex. I actually thought she was going to attack the other scientist when they were bickering. Either way, these "scientists" in the Secret of the Lost empires specials have really brought Nova down a few notches. They're unprofessional and they all seem to be competing with each other.
