It all seems well and good, but my problem with the challenge is that it is for military application. I would like to see such programs for civilian use before military. Now that the whole world can watch this all an enemy would have to do is take out the vehicles sensors and they have themselves their very own high tech vehicle to study, as well as a nice cache of supplies for the taking. Doesn't seem to bright to me.
There must have been more to it also if red team was willing to spend 3 mil. only to win 2mil. See 2 other replies

It really is a shame that we cannot embrace technology unless it used for product and profit.

One day humans will realize that we can utilize technology so that we don't have to work at pointless jobs.

One day people will realize that robots can be built to work so we don't have to.

I dream of a day where we all scientists.

I dream of a day that THIS is everybody's job.
