My father had two,2x3 foot speakers,installed ceiling level,behind the sheer nylon living room drapes.Music always filled the air,Belefonte to Wagner,Sinatra,Doris Day,to Show Boat,My Fair Lady,The King and I,born in46,by 56 I knew them all by heart,still do too.Kern had his section,such talent ! I also saw a film of his early life up to where this one starts,anyone remember it ?Front row center,or first private box,stage right,were our usual seats,ah,......nothing like the Theater in NYC.Good memories.Enjoy the film..........

Yes used in jazz,ballets,all forms styles,but THIS is how HE wrote them.So it is that we are new fashioned,he is the constant.

So many of J. Kerns songs now have been used as Jazz standards that it was good see them played in the old fashion way.
