Man, I've watched some art house turds in my time, but this is one of the toughest films I've ever tried to stay awake through. It's got an absurd 'Movie about a movie about a movie' structure that's nigh impossible to pay attention to. The main character is this chubby Swede chick named Lena who's trying to prove she knows less about politics than anyone else. At least on my part this was well established in the first ten or so minutes. After what seems like an eternity of three person picket lines, and some of the most ineffectual street Q&A you've ever seen, the on screen frubbing kicks in. The frubbing is about as sexy as watching major league baseball, and really, though I rarely have a problem with nudity, there's no need for it. I was aware that this film had some censorship issues, which is the only reason I watched, but I suspect that the trouble it had was from the 'Get out of Nam' sentiment that it mildly carries for about 45 second in there somewhere. In short, I should have stuck to the rule that says 'Never watch a Swedish film that doesn't star Seka.
