I have a problem with during the description of the Buddha's life, when the narrator says that Siddhartha Gautama attained Nirvana at the age of 35.
According to 99.9% of all traditional Buddhist definitions of Nirvana, it is the end of suffering, the bliss at the end of the cycle of death and rebirth that is the ultimate end goal of Buddhism - the nothing-ness that signifies the end of the cycle.
In most, if not all, western definitions of this word, it is equated with eternal ecstasy or bliss.
The Buddha did not attain this state until he was a very old man (some accounts say that he was in his 80s). At 35, he simply became the Buddha.
I am disappointed that a show like nova would get this fact wrong.
