I did not like this at all. Un Chien Andalou (Dali) is a much better short film.

Though the constantly moving, almost indiscriminate camera reveals each inch of the room to be compelling, if not beautiful, and though the occasional vision of Ms. Ackerman herself, reclining, functions to break up the monotony of the passing still life, it doesn't have the impact of Hotel Monterey (a later, similar study). Formally interesting.

So does Ms. Akerman have any talent? Heck, I don't know, but if she does you sure wouldn't be able to tell it from watching this. Spinning a camera around on the tripod in a french studio apartment for ten minutes doesn't scream talent to me. Maybe a first year film student would turn in something like this for a framing project or something. Just another French hack. Bore yourself with this meaningless crap if you want, but consider yourself warned.
