Maybe I just like music more than I like dancing, but I think this movie destroys Summer Interlude. Bergman is doing his usual here, exploring the minds of his characters, his audience and himself. This one has a great ending and a great expansive relationship that easily out-paces it's campy plot foil. The relational strains of humanistic men and women give way to a beautiful statement of what it might mean to appreciate life in all it's seeming imperfections. A wee bit dated, but still 5stars without batting a eye.
