I liked this movie. Then I looked at the comments and every one was about smoking. Well, I guess this one is too.

I can remember when, we were assured, smoking would "only" be banned on domestic airline flights of less than 2 hours duration.

But the smoking Nazis never quit. Nazis of any stripe never do. Now, although alcohol causes wrecks, ruins livers, careers and marriages there are places reserved for alcohol consumption which don't allow smoking for health reasons.

Now the gay Nazis are at it. Given the history of Nazis don't be surprised when one day there are designated areas where heterosexuals may carry on courtships with only minimal harassment.

1) It's Finland.
2) They smoke a lot in Finland
3) Try watching older movies, they smoked a lot. In the 50's as much as 50% of the US population smoked. It wasn't until the 80's did you begin to see a social push to quit/reduce smoking. Smoking in Europe is generally more accepted than it is in the US. But I think you would find fewer chain smokers there.

There were more cigarettes smoked in that movie than what I have ever seen in a movie. I wonder if they over played the cigarettes or do they smoke that much in whatever country this was filmed.

a good film to watch. a young woman lack of love in her life. i like the scene when she bought rat powder. she needed to know if it kills. examine the house she lives in. or course it kills.
