I don't honestly believe the documentary got a clear cut message through. Parts seemed discontinuous, it was hard to keep up with which character was which, etc. Also, the mention (by one of the interviewees, I believe) of a comparison in which the person essentially equated discrimination to rape deeply disturbed me. Discrimination is not rape. They are both terrible, but an equating of the two cannot be made.

The times are changin...It's just one more way of corporate political power how it takes controll of peoples lives... I don't even like sports...but am gay/Les... this was a good documentary...I applaude the women who stood up for thier rights! We all are all the 99 percent! Good documentary.Discrimination should never be allowed anywhere...period. It's an abomination against our American rights! So for all of us..keep fighting for our rights!...Just stay the wonderful person you are! The women who spoke up are winners, so I say thank you!

Also not a basketball fan, I was riveted by the story of a bully who had the unchecked power to make or break young people. Without recourse thru the system to protect themselves, young athletes had to choose between pursuing their dreams and hiding their identity or giving up on their hopes to have the freedom to express themselves openly. There are lots of important points about how the sports world views women athletes and the ways the money-making arm of pro sports tries to market only a certain kind of woman athlete. The triumph in this story is how women forced into the shadows despite their abilities fight back and win. Very thought-provoking. Great interviews.

So they are complaining even though they chose to let it out that they were/are gay and they knew the "rules" (reputation of the school's coaching staff) before they got there. I have no sympathy for idiocy. Change the way you live or keep it to your self and you would have been fine.

Seeing the is film after the whole Sandusky affair had unfolded puts it into a brilliant perspective. What a bunch of amoral pukes occupied Penn State and it's second rate athletic department. Joe Paterno was the worst of the bunch. All of this evil is coming back on them now. Lesbians bad, raping little boys ok.

"Why does the public have to see what people do in the privacy of their bedroom? " I think your perception of this documentary was a little skewed. No where did anyone say "I'm gay and you have to see what I do in bed". I think you would be surprised how many gay people are not bragging about their lifestyle. 99% of gay people that want to be treated as equal do not try to interfere with anyone's private life, but 100% of advocates against gay rights are trying to control what goes on peoples private lives. So while we will have no problems keeping our "freak" to ourselves, I can only hope you can keep your hatred to yourself.
