Navigating the Heart has all the earmarks of a Lifetime movie. It is inspired by a true story, it's written with the familiar formula for predictability, and it will give you plenty of smiles.
Jacqueline Smith and Tim Matheson lead a cast of equally talented actors in this glimpse of what it's like to live with, work in, and rely on the salmon industry in British Columbia.
It gives us a taste of how removed political representatives are from the communities they’re supposed to represent and how finance frequently takes precedence over caring about maintaining the flavor and exclusive livelihood of a generational community.
Since you no-doubt will have the entire film figured out within the first 10 minutes, whether or not you'll enjoy the film will rely on how much you like the actors. As for me, I do like these actors so the film was really pleasant to watch.
