I love the docks under the Brooklyn Bridge, the scenes of Fulton's Fish Market, the shots from Brooklyn towards Manhattan across Wallabout Bay, the street scenes in Chinatown, the open air fish markets on the wharf. I love the high rubber boots, the lobster boats, the lobster pots, the tanks where the fish are kept, the blue collar atmosphere of hard working fisherman, truckers, restaurant staff and bookkeepers. This movie depicts the New York City borough of Brooklyn of the working class people, not the artsy fartsy folks that so many Americans associate with the area.
