@Skin Flynt I pretty much agree with your assessment. However, I would add that the only circumstance for a committed relationship would be to raise children ... 10, 15 or 20 years tops. I would also add that there are far more variations in outcomes ... you have limited the possible outcomes to two either due to the current social constraints or your personal experience. I know there are more based on my life's experiences. By the way, here is a great joke I recently ran across ... imagine a picture, rather a cartoon type artistic drawing set in the 1950's with an exceptionally attractive and obviously mutually attractive young adults in bed together with the young man under the covers pulled all the way up to his chin (huge anticipatory grin on his face) and the young beautiful woman reaching over to set the "electric" alarm on the clock. She is adorned in the classic 1950's pin up bra with a little leg showing from under the covers because she is stretching to reach the alarm clock and she too is grinning ear to ear. The caption across the top and sides reads as follows: "It's only premarital sex ... if you have the intention of getting married. If you don't plan on getting married, it is not premarital sex". This cartoon parody of the 1950's made me feel hopeful for the future.
