Movie was inspiring,true life and a movie of the what familys struggle with in everyday life.Very good watch.

The only problem is that the film is formulaic. Male breadwinner is having problems providing for his family, but macho pride won't let him accept help. Wife is initially unsympathetic to her mate's struggles, but later regrets having "driven" him off. Precocious kid and sister are concerned, but at least the precocious kid wasn't so precocious she won the science fair too. That would have been too much... The only things that make this film watchable are 1) the unpolished presentation 2) the exotic but sympathetic Indian immigrant parents 3) the Science projects and 4) the entrepreneurial bend of the kids and parents. Unfortunately there was also a subtle dig at the single white female parent who was more interested in her boyfriend then her daughter, unlike the other mother who is merely trying to impress a publisher.

I'm not really sure that I'd call this a true coming of age film but I really enjoyed it. The family's problems and the way progressed was pretty true to life. It was sweet and simple; not alot of character development but it wasn't really necessary.

This was a wonderful show. The best I have watched in a very long time. It was more like real life than disney. I even liked the cute part where the Dad sings in the song that is so like the Indian movies on hulu but not... I was touched by the story line and how real this movie was. The camera crew did an outstanding job of filming this show.

bad acting, poorly written, predictable, and ridiculously slow.

Life is magic, humanity is magic -- the magic is where analysis begins. Science is not measurement. Science is not absence of magic -- science is understanding of magic. It is a process by which humanity becomes attuned to magic. We aren't great at it but we haven't been doing it for long and there has been much resistance to science -- apparently including this film, even though it isn’t really meant to be about science. But everything is part of the message, even if it isn’t meant to be. This film would teach children that magic is not to be understood, that it is not to be analyzed, that it must be "felt" -- though who ever felt more poorly on account of a deeper understanding? Come on, we've had enough of 19th-century romanticism already.Also the parents are ridiculously easily cured of their pigheadedness and melancholia, and their lack of concerned attention to the children.

I could barely stay awake........................slow, slow, slow!
