cow grazing does contribute alot to deforestation. people gripe and complain about paper/recycling but most of the new rainforest acres that are being cut are for cattle. cows do contribute heavily to land and water degradation and comparing cow waste to other animals is just asinine. cows are DOMESTICATED animals that are bred only for human use/consumption. the livestock sector contributes greatly to the greenhouse effect and that could be lowered alot if people weren't so greedy and didnt eat 3 big macs a day.and actually cows to contribute heavily to greenhouse gases, thats not some urban legend lmao. the UN food and agricultural organization published a report that confirmed that years ago (in 2006 to be exact) obviously people have the right to do whatever they want, but the facts about the impact livestock (not merely cows) on the environment are there. i enjoy a nice filet mignon myself from time to time!
