Merry go rounds are a different matter with different math than the inside of a rotating cylinder with respect to the objects inside the cylinder. And of course which way the objects were moving; longitudinally or laterally. Just think about the term 'loop the loop' or in aircraft 'doing an inside loop'. the people inside the plane do not fall toward the middle. Are you familiar with Arthur C. Clark's "Rendezvous with Rama"? that is most likely where they got idea for B5. the Coriolis effect would take effect if the objects were traveling longitudinally. also if baseball can be played anywhere here on the Earth, then it can be played in B5. because the Coriolis effect is affecting objects here as well. the players on B5 would just have to learn how the ball moves on B5. as it would be different than on the Earth.
