Donald P. Bellisario's Early Brush Strokes
I just realized I am a huge fan of Bellisario's and that his Military themed, small team against the odds shows definitely have a formula that were started between here and Magnum PI. While Airwolf used bigger brush strokes, his style improved greatly with Quantum Leap, Jag (Which my Dad loved.) and now NCIS.

The best episode of the series
It just doesn't get any better than "To Snare a Wolf." Lance LeGault turns in a stellar performance as a ruthless government agent pursuing Airwolf at all costs. You might also notice his voice in the "File A56-7W" briefings found at the beginning of other episodes.
Combined with "Starman" that was shooting at the same time, this episode marked the greatest number of Hollywood aircraft in the air at one time, ever.
Watching Hawke fly through a bomb run at the end is a must-see. This episode concluded the first season and left viewers wanting more.
