Although it wasn't represented in that way because the truth is often not politically correct and movies producers dare not be politically correct. Regardless, first you have a peaceful demonstration, second there are police provocateurs breaking store windows and doing other act of violence. Of course they are not arrested even though the police are present because that is the excuse the police can use for violence against peacefuil protesters.

This movie is really stupid. It's about a group of people in suits who want to use democracy to enable violence to centrally control the markets versus a group of people dressed in Doc Martins who want to use democracy to enable the use of violence to centrally control the markets. Of course the anarchists are frothing at the mouth, dressed all in black, dumb as a bag of hammers and all have boners for broken windows. The moral of the story is that democracy is good, violence used properly is good, anarchists are dumb and nobody should respect property rights regardless what side you're on.

I feel stupider for watching this movie and I hold the producers of this "film" personally responsible. That is all.

I'm neither registered left nor right & the way it seems to me is that the Tea Party arose because the Rep. are failures. And near as I can tell by the looks of the presidential candidates the Tea Party has had no affect on changing the people's demands to elected representatives. So in this Justin Mcalister you should be a happy man for I believe the path of 'status quota' marches on. Hopefully you can finnish your life without having to make any moral stands :)

Until the liberal left "voice" drawned out any lodgic. They talk about, sorry let me restate that, they yell about freedom of speech, corprate greed, nobody listening to them, all the while trying to burn down the city, throwing piss on cops. And you nut jobs wonder why someone wants to beat your ass. Theres no such thing as a peaceful, left wing protest. You guys should take a lesson from the tea party, there smart enough to know that if you begin to break windows, throw piss on cops or try to burn buildings then no one is gonna hear your #$%^&*. The tea party doesent $%^&, burn buildings, throw piss on cops, or cuss people out when they don't feel as though there not being heard. By the way, Im not right wing or left wing, just a simple man who calls it like I see it.

it is a great film to watch, to get the general feeling and mood of the people in seattle. Its hard to think that those Riot police are people too and have families, its reckless to just beat random protestors, there comes a day when you have to choose between your job and or your heart

I would have loved it even more. When it came out I really wanted to watch it, but school kept me away. In the intervening time, I was swept by the Hallyu wave, so right now all I watch is Korean shows. If I wasn't aware of the issues, and if I didn't understand why environmentalists and human rights advocates do what they do, then I would have loved this movie to bits. But since I am already aware, it was so so. Reading a book was a whole lot more interesting. I recommend reading Blessed Unrest by Paul Hawken. It goes deeper than this movie ever could.
