Short documentary about children with diabetes in Nepal. It was very well done. The scenery was beautiful.
I highly recommend this film if you are a person like me, who enjoys seeing how the rest of the world lives. A huge contrast to the luxurious way of life Americans are accustomed to.
I didn't see it as heart breaking as someone said, but rather eye opening. It opened my mind to the remarkable differences that exist between the different worlds.
For a diabetic child in America, it is nothing to spend $40 on a monitoring kit, but for the people in Nepal, that is a very expensive luxury to have.
So the families and children have to trek hours to the hospital to get checked for diabetes. In a way, it is very tragic that we in America have so much when people in other countries have so very little.
But then they live in a world that looks like paradise to me. Everything is always a trade off, I guess.
