I appreciated this movie! It was depressing all at the same time. It was such an inspirational story. Guys, you better start taking notes when it comes to you being married either now or in the future. Why would a woman lie about being raped like that? The main reason why I gave this movie four stars is because it had a great story line but I was not thrilled with the father-in-law not getting any charges pressed. I am glad however that the daughter-in-law was able to confront him and face her fears and she overcame them with the help of her husband. I am entirely glad that the father in law did not get away with what he did entirely. The wife found out. I've noticed no reviews currently for this video talk about the mother-in-law. I feel so sorry for her. She deserves somebody MUCH better than that scumbag. All in all, this was a great movie! I recommend it for those especially studying family issues and psychological/therapeutic aid.

A rapist is free to continue raping women while the rapist arranges for the victim to be charged with crimes and imprisoned for weeks and tortured with huge quantities of psychotic drugs to make her go crazy.It might have been a good story if after raping and injuring the victim, the rapist had at least been arrested.

Victoria Principal has always had a talent for bringing subjects to light,....even if they are unpleasant. Have always loved her acting,.....but goyya say,....in the very beginning of the moving she's coming down a staircase is a stunning black dress,........OMG, where can I find that dress,......

Came here thinking this was DANCER in the Dark (Bjork's 2000 movie). Just as depressing, but a whole 'nother story.
