Honestly, I'm surprised Hulu had a documentary about Mongolia. I traveled so much, more than half of the entire population. Nothing like my homeland. I have utmost respect for the nomads. Capital of Mongolia is however just like any other big cities, everybody chases money, fame, and fun.
Every summer, after being in boarding school for 9 months in England, I always looked forward going to my uncle's farm, ride horses, herd cattle, and play with the village kids. Every morning, I used to take my horse and disappear into the mountains to catch the sun, hear the mountains wake up and watch wild animals resume their morning routines.
I miss my aunt's homemade fresh yogurt, oh so gentle and good for my stomach. Candy bars and chocolate disks were celebratory treats and not of everyday snacks.
Every evening, my cousins gather up the village kids to play games and tell stories.
I remember the big river not too far away from the town. My two cousins and I would always go to swim in the still part of river after herding the cattle up to High Valley.
Oh bugger, I need to stop otherwise I'm going cry my eyes out.
I'm going to visit my homeland next summer...simply cannot wait.
