There is only time to address so many issues in one film. I don't understand how the lack of "perfect man" issues in this documentary made you feel so negatively about this film, which many reviewers here and probably you, yourself, would agree did well in showing its own point. If you think a vast majority of women only care about men with the media looks, do you think the same generalization applies to men? If not, I wonder what reason you have other than personal bias to think so. Regardless, the media will have done a good job of making each gender think the other is full of shallow morons.

THe doc is awful & repugnant. So are those editors is my point. I'm certainly not condoning what he was saying. He's definitely an idiot but that's obvious. It's the ones who fly under the radar like these industry people. See 1 other reply

Those editors who are pretty much telling us: "Oh we're selling lies and it's helping our kids struggle with image issues. Who cares, we're making a buck aren't we?" It's helping the economy. It's the only way to make a buck. That's what unnerves me. That like the US Weekly editor said: "To be a hedonist is great, I live for that. It's humorous". What about Elle editor saying: "Oh we're not as bad as billboards or MTV"... Everyone is worried about their jobs. That's why we can't expect TV to raise our kids. That's why we have to work to be responsible for our little ones. It's getting harder & harder to parent-there are so many influences nowadays more than 20-30 years ago.

I had to pause this movie as my mouth just hung open in utter shock at this "Doctor's" explanation for being lighter skinned & how it relates to evolution & don't even get me started on the way he talked to that woman & then attempted to defend his methods and beliefs...wow. Some people are clearly unstable....
