It seems the staffi is actually gradually lessening the insanity of the episodes and going back to character driven plots, and you see a marked improvement in the jokes the more they go in that direction. My only question is if it'll really ever get back to where it once was. If these writers go and study seasons 3 and 4 over and over again, possibly. I would wonder though, if the voice talent is getting exhausted though too, because I here a reduction in voice quality - it really feels like they're going through the motions. Then again, it may because the writing is just bad and the actors don't have much to work with. This is on the right track though, one of the best ones in a long-time, even with the asburd Bond sequence at the end.
