My only question is : How did this film ever get an "R" rating? Clearly a parody of classic creature features, "Monster In The Closet" is unadulterated, tongue-in-cheek, 1980's camp horror. The cast features several familiar television personalities from the era. Overall, an entertaining "B" movie experience.

Around 18:30 in the film, the cop just spits in a cup at the crime scene. Nothing serious but it was hilarious to me.

all these horror movies with monsters, aliens, ufos share a common tie to reality; it is the power's that be way of revealing truth through entertainment industry to make it more palatable once the real truth comes up. don't get me wrong; they are fun to watch. i grew up on watching sci-fi / horror.

ever hear of Phil Schneider? He has an interesting story to tell. if he was making it all up it would really be a tough thing to do; reality is far stranger than any fiction writer can dream up folks! take a look here and prepare yourself for the future. you can take whatever spin you want on it. i am presenting it to make people aware.

A real silly spoof that doesn't hit you in the face with it's spoofing. Not to be taken seriously, unless you're trying to decided which horror movie they're trying to make fun of. Cheap - you bet. Lotsa famous old actors up until that time? You bet. (And now some famous actors of this time - like Paul Walker as the little boy Professor. Who knew?!?!) All for the silliness of it. If you find yourself shaking your head wondering, "What was that?", its okay, you're supposed to. You're allowed to be silly every now and then and that's what Troma produced pictures were known for.
