didn't realize this series features a different comic series each episode. Yeah - i won't be checking out Hipp again, sorry.

I will check out the rest of the episodes, as I have never read Dan Hipp's comics - his art style is very interesting - certainly not for all, but well polished.
The plot is interesting, but poked along by a narrator who tends to confuse more than narrate. The "character" of the narrator seems pushy at times, jumping into the story when completely unnecessary to give details of past or future events, and repeating crap about how there is no love or joy. we get it. there is no love or joy. don't mention it every 10 minutes. I felt I was being treated like a child, who needed someone to explain every last disjointed detail.

I agree wholeheartedly. The narrator is almost pushy at times, interrupting the story merely to offer us disjointed generalities about the plot with some weird Confucius spin

I agree with Micah Cordova the narrator seemes to be totaly out of places and the plot gets to be confusing at times making it boring and not worth waching. But the art work is great so I think it would be better just to buy the manga in a store.

This started off okay, poor dialogue and all. Then the narrator jumped in and completely ruined it. It just drags on, boring and trying too hard. Too bad, the artwork is really good.
