Good grief, it's a wonder they even survived for one day! They all act like they've got their heads up their butts. No one seems capable of asking a simple and direct question, or giving a simple and direct answer. But, I don't want to seem like a totally Negative Neda ... I actually rather like these early b&w episodes. They're a little more grounded, not quite as campy or ridiculous as later seasons, though those episodes are fun in their own way, too. Dr. Smith was rather murderous in these early eps, though judging from the events here, he's not completely without a conscience. And best of all, this episode has Debbie the Bloop, the space chimp, in it! Fortunately the series ended before she grew old enough to go bonkers and rip Penny's face off.

the end of episode 5 and the beginning of this episode was mainly part of the unaired pilot. This unaired pilot episode did not have doc smith or the robot in it. The unaired
pilot had a diffrent look for the show. these two charitors where put in to have a evil side of the show. If you watch the unaird episode you will see it was spread over the frist 6 episodes little pieces where cut in here and they. They were in space and on the planet for about 3or 4 years when this part of the story picks up again. Not have to much sci-fi technology to go bye or electronic gadgets to mimic
the show was good in its time.

I thought it was interesting to see the family start coming together to survive in outer space! Even Dr. Smith did his part to warn the others of up-coming danger!
