Did you even watch the film? If so, you would understand why Randy wrote "beat Yale 29-29" as well as how the film got its title.

...back then. @12:51, the announcer says, "Pat who was in Vietnam a year ago today." These guys were straight badasses back then, just like their fathers who served in WWII and saved the world. There are great men and women who still do the same thing today. What a great sport's story!

I enjoyed this film primarily because the reflections of these men, some 40 years later, reveal how men evaluate themselves and each other. There's a lot about being a man that women will never understand, but knowing the pressures of athletics and the willingness to both injure and be injured speaks volumes.
