The leading character,Count Dracula, didn't need any make up to play this part..Actually I thought everyone in this movie was a bit creepy(look at the eyebrows on these people) but it WAS made in !929..It was a real treat to finally watch this movie..Thanks Hulu..

I enjoyed this film immensely, except for the soundtrack. I had to turn it down here and there, because it was so annoying and was giving me a headache. I'm not sure that it's the original music to the film, which was added to the film. It sounds too modern to me. Who knows? The plot was great, a lot like Dracula, by Bram Stoker. One thing that was sort of funny though, was how Nosferatu was not allowed to be out in the daylight, but he's always doing something when it seems there is plenty of light. I suppose that's moonlight! It's cute, watch the film!

Everything about this film is subpar from the direction to the failed attempts at reverse image negatives in the forest scenes. More importantly, the script was dismal. When one thinks of all the great literature the 19th century produced that could have been made into films it's difficult to reason why filmmakers during the slient era so often went out of their way to find the worst stories they could. Fortunately the golden era of filmmaking was just around the corner. Not only would great scripts come into vogue in the early 1930s, but sound came with them (just in time).

Nosferatu is a masterpiece.It's the same idea as Bram Strokers Dracula only the germans made it into a feature film instead of text.The film is beautifuly directed by F.W. Murnau and Max Schreck does a fantastic role as Count Orlok..Nosferatu has stood the test of time and is still a favorite amoung vampire fans as well as the average movie goer.

And,yes,this is still a free country only thing is that Hulu belongs to a citizen and he,she or they chose what content to display on this site. Not childish neanderthals.

What is your comment about Germany supposed to mean? If you are so intelligent then you would know that Germany has freedom of speech as well. This remark shows that Hulu apparently had every reason not to print your "intelligent" review.

Is it just me, or is anyone else bothered by versions of Nosferatu (like this one featured on Hulu) where Orlok's and everyone else's names are changed to those in Bram Stoker's novel? I realise this film was based on Dracula, but I've always considered it a piece all its own. And certainly, as far as vampires go, Dracula and Orlok are completely different.

On that note, I should also mention I hate the 1979 remake. It loses all the thing that make the 1922 version great (including the name Orlok).

Anyone else have a preference (Orlok or Dracula)? Or does it not matter at all?
