This adaptation of the original story was very well done! They took a bit of a different philosophical take on the reasoning behind the Solution than the original, but it still worked. The acting was great and the storyline kept moving from start to finish. A scary concept as well. It would likely be a fast end for us if real aliens wanted us gone- The technology of just a hundred years back would be no match for today.Imagine a thousand year jump or more. This type of finish would be horrific. Very chilling- and I believed it as I watched- Bravoto all involved!

(spoilers) As a military guy myself I find it appalling and unbelievable that the military wouldn't go through with chemical castration. Service before self is one of our core values and we do live it.Also I love the fact that men rationalized their violence towards women. The human mind is just a machine to rationalize and calculate how to satisfy our chemical urges (both the empathetic benevolent ones and the selfish ones).It's also very plausible. The parasite Toxoplasma causes rats to become sexually attracted to cat urine. The cats eat the rats and the parasite reproduces in the stomach of the cats. The rats then eat the cat droppings and the cycle continues. One third of the human population is infected with this parasite and it increases the probability of schizophrenia as well as dieing in motorcycle accidents (it messes with fear and urge for excitement). It's not a far stretch to believe a parasite like this could be genetically engineered to be a bit more potent. After all we've tripled the output of corn, created plants that don't give off seeds along with many other great bio-engineering feats. I find dooms day scenarios exciting :D.... oh gawd maybe I'm already infected. lol
