Regardless of what my opinions on abortion are, I don't understand how you could say that there are no moral absolutes prefaced by the statement that "aborting a child when the mother feels like it with no further justification is immoral". Those two statements are in direct opposition with one another, no matter what your definition of "immoral" is. "Immoral" is an absolute word.
Also, the phrase that "rape, incest and imminent threat to the mother's life are cases where abortion must be used"? Really, MUST? That seems like an extreme statement.
A third argument that one might have would be that you're making an argument to consider the baby to understand why abortion is immoral. The problem is that you're also saying that the baby should NOT be considered in other circumstances. Where should the line be drawn? There have been documented cases of a woman who chose to conceive a child but was caused serious mental and emotional distress from the pregnancy or birth. Should those circumstances be taken into consideration, or would those women be told that regardless of the mental trauma, they should be forced to continue the pregnancy.
Don't get me wrong, I agree with some of what you said, but these are a couple of questions I had about a couple of disagreements. See 6 other replies
