Surface: Episode 4

I'm really noticing the plot-lifting from Close Encounters, as well as what feels like "The Waterhorse" with the kids' stuff.

I know that this was posted before this happened. But in Arkansas, there was that huge flock of birds that died a week after tons of fish washed up on the AR river....

This is a great series but requires full attention and an IQ over Kindergarten to follow.
Sub plots go from almost plagiarized scenes and characters from Close Encounters to Abyss, the Son's alien/monster baby even duplicates various Gremlin scenes and shots.
Overall it's a captivating and well written series. Like many of it's time, killed by the writers strike never to be renewed or further developed. I too hope it will be picked up by another network and further developed but after 5 years the 2 kids will have grown up to be young adults and those themes would all have to end; leaving the series with 2/3rds of the subplots missing....

Even though I love animals and hate to see them die in movies, tv, and real life, GOD! I was so happy that (CENSORED)'s dog was eaten. Never heard of this show until tonight but it seems to have had some promise. To bad it was cancelled. First few episodes make it seem like some alien species has arrived on earth but Rich (I think that's his name) seeing visions of stuff makes it seem like more is going on than your normal alien invasion. Hope they bring it back or another station decides to buy it and conduct better advertisement.

yes the squids would be noticed but it would be downplayed to a disease that we all know the vast majority of the united states would believe because believe it or not the average I.Q of children and teenagers has decreased 10-20% within the last couple of decades. there is evidence in high schools today with Juniors reading at a 2nd to 3rd grade level it is ridiculous which is why the squid carcasses would only be a side story that would quite possible be a 3rd grader weighing 560 lbs.

Sorry, but there's only one season.
