Shame on these guys!
For their fame, they completely took advantage of a woman suffering from a serious and complex mental illness, her husband who is in denial and the model. Another psychiatrist needs to get involved for a definitive diagnoses, create a viable treatment plan and medication regiment. Obviously, the treatment, if any is not helping. Isn't it a cry for help when she continued to send him emails under the false character After the facade was exposed?
Social services needs to provide her with respite care to assist her with the demands and difficulties of raising her husband's 2 mentally disabled children. Not once did I see him involved in their care. It makes me wonder how the 2 young daughters are coping with the situation too. I feel sad for the entire family.
At the very least, the 3 greedy men owe them all an apology.

Straight-up stupid, fake story, don't even bother watching.

Am I the only one who can see completely through these narcissistic "documentarians". Wow they were so sickening and totally manipulated the entire situation so that they could make a "movie" and get attention. I mean seriously they are pathetic if all they do is film every second of their lives. Do they really think they are that important? Plus, it was totally inappropriate for him to be sending mail back and forth to who he thought was an 8 year old girl. He lives in NYC and can't find a real g/f? He has to have a 9 month online relationship. What took him so long to meet her? This was complete bs. They are trying to be so deep and intellectual in hopes people with analyze their film and analyze the realities of relationships. They must think they can go down in history as such great documentarians. Please, get a life

I have some problems with this. He talks to the mother on the phone.. He then talks to "Megan" on the phone.. I swear it sounded like the same person. I know in the end that it is the same person however I wasn't even the person on the phone and I understood that it was the same voice! How did he not notice that? I mean he noticed that the singing voice was the same! Also he says that "they" are psycho paths. Why would he just assume that EVERYTHING was a lie all of a sudden. Then why would he just show up at the chicks house? Why would she have ever given her real address? Why wouldn't they just have said let's meet up? But the thing that really makes me think it's all ridiculous is that at the end the woman says "I was hoping they were recording this. I didn't know if they were but I was hoping."
If it's not all fake then they shouldn't have done this to the lady whether she was willing or not because if it is real then she's obviously not well!

This is a truly sickening story that should have stayed buried. It's not fascinating to see (A) a woman's mental illness, narcissism and predatory instincts and (B) three unctuous filmmakers exploit it. I feel like I need a shower. Hope their crappy (wanted to use a stronger word) "film" tanks. These guys aren't documentarians any more than the National Enquirer is.Our country is embroiled in debt and war and a healthcare gap and this is what ABC devotes its journalistic space to? Gimme a break! No wonder people make such bad decisions at the ballot box.
