The overabundance of ads is why I will never pay for HuluPlus. Furthermore, I have started not only looking elsewhere during the ads, but also turning the sound off. Don't forget that advertising isn't necessarily about totally capturing your attention--if *any* aspect of the ads leaves any kind of trace in your memory, then the sponsors have achieved their goal. Furthermore, if you want to protest the overabundance of ads on Hulu, don't EVER use that ad-switching tool, or use the "is this relevant to you?" buttons--they're less about making your ad experience more relevant, and more about just measuring how many people are paying any attention to the ads.   See 3 other replies

Eadhmonn--either you're got some huge misunderstandings, or you don't know how to express yourself clearly. Phrases like "falsely portrayed" "incomplete facts to back up the story" and "made-up stories," it sounds as if you expect writers or producers of film on this subject to be giving you something from the history books. Probably less than 10% of anything in ANY version of any part of this story can be traced back to facts. The only exception might be the setting, but even then, different legends present us with setting that range from almost any point in the Middle Ages. You do know that there's Arthurian legends not only from the English and the French, but from the Welsh as well? Furthermore, many of the values and customs which are most often associated with The Matter of Britain (the collective name for all the Arthurian materials)--e.g. courtly love and chivalry--are, as you would call them, "fanciful additions by French writers." Sir Thomas Mallory's Le Morte D'Arthur--the telling of these legends that is as close to one can get to a "definitive" version--takes the French Vulgate cycle of Arthurian legend as one of its main sources, and certainly as its most extensive source. If you want to speak authoritatively on a topic, you'll either have to be better educated about it or better able to express your knowledge, thoughts, and opinions.   See 2 other replies
