Rating_fullRating_fullRating_fullRating_fullRating_full Love the series...hated this episode
BSG remains one of the best dramas on television but I hate, hate, hate the Balter as Jim Jones storyline. I hated it when it first popped up at the beginning of the season and this episode just rubbed my nose in it. On top of that, it's just crap. Nothing in this episode made any sense and the actions and reactions of the characters left me scratching my head. Just like when LOST started getting way too deep into pseudo-religious garbage with that horrible Eko character, BSG is treading in bad waters here. Too bad a smoke monster couldn't off Balter the way the writers of LOST did with Eko.

Rating_fullRating_fullRating_emptyRating_emptyRating_empty WHAT?
Ok people, stop and think. 30,000 people left out of billions and the one man who everyone knows did it is preaching. You think in some dream world like this they would let him live? Come on. I have been a BSG fan for so many years it isn't funny. Do you think if someone made it to where the U.S. fell and we only had 30,000 people here do you think we would just say " oh, it's ok he didn't know what he was doing.", or, " he has rights"? Come on people, I love the battles and I love the people but this is gone way to far. Baltar should have been dead at the end of last season.

Rating_fullRating_fullRating_fullRating_fullRating_full The show is going incredibly dark
This might be the first time I am unable to finish a series because of how dark and hopeless the series insists on getting. Each time I want it to become darker and and more sinister and it does, I being to regret my decision. This episode just furthers it, Baltar's priest, while incredibly genuine, is the scariest thing in the series yet. On the other end, Rosalin is slowly falling into despotism in the name of peace. It seems there's no good way out for the human race.

Rating_fullRating_fullRating_fullRating_fullRating_full Golum in Space?
Is Baltar the Golum of Galactica? Somebody should really airlock him, but they just keep letting him hang around stirring up trouble. Maybe Gilligan is a better reference lol.

Rating_fullRating_fullRating_fullRating_fullRating_full In agreement
I agree with mornrail and rollthehardsix on this one. This series is a well written drama. It is so much more than a sci-fi series or a soap opera. BSG presents the human experience and psyche on so many different levels and tackles fundamental questions, like: What is our purpose in life? Does our species have the right to live? Is there a God, or Gods? Does the mean justify the end?

Rating_fullRating_fullRating_fullRating_fullRating_full TV like this does not come around all that often!
I have to agree with you Roll. It's an inspiring show. At first, I would be one to say this episode. There are signs being given and there is character growth abound!

One has asked if this show is soap-opera or sci-fi. True science fiction incorporates ideology, philosophies, and religion. True science fiction pulls ideas from books of faith and mythology. True science fiction talks about hopes and dreams. And above all else, true science fiction makes you think. Science fiction does not have to be about aliens, robots, explosions, and space. There is deeper meaning in this all and I love it.

You want a show about heroes with fight scenes, well wait for some big studio to come out with an over-hyped mess. But if you want a show where people are real, who cannot save the day because they feel and hurt, and sometimes hurt others in the process because they are like us, then this is the show to watch.

Science fiction or soap opera? Neither. More like real characters.

Rating_fullRating_fullRating_fullRating_fullRating_full Best Show On Television!
i always enjoy how the haters who want just another regurgitated lame sci-fi show with big explosions, fifth-grade dialogue, no plot, and characters with no depth, come on all these boards and rip on BSG. Galactica is the best show on television.

you want to compare BSG to LOST? LOL! spare me.

Galactica has gotten its fans to dream, become immersed, and actually think. No other show does that. All the rest of television treats us like were all a bunch of brain-dead zombies, too unevolved to actually think for ourselves, filling television with childish scripts that insult our adulthood.

For some, uninspired television for the masses is all that fulfills them. Battlestar Galactica is simply not for them.
