Well if Michael Walker wanted to do a film about disgusting plumbing and pill popping, that's exactly what he accomplished--that and the incessant phone and door ringing. It was a nonstop marathon of macabre filthiness in a disgusting house that I couldn't imagine two teachers living in and constant in and out interruptions that, yes, punctuated the sleeplessness, but come on. And the cops and the shrink all popped pills too, and needed to use the plumbing--whether literally or just a glass of water. And to add in the young student as seductress? That made no sense at all. It was a torture to watch. It had no redeeming value. I wonder what other pieces Michael Walker has written and directed?
