I liked the story, they really accomplished quite a bit. It's nice to see a group of people come together and get their story told... Pretty cool stuff

All issues could be resolved with a calm detached senseability rather than freaking spastic emotional queen of the scene b battle. keep the attitude for the rink and recognize and acknowlege with sincerity all those who are a part of your creation because without execution it is only an awesome idea. engage and empower your bloody loyal brave warrior babes make them understand the larger impact and forget the pettyness. You should be respected and known for your strength boldness. you have a place in the long line of women who have attained honor without invoking thoughts of gender. So remember that and screw the business...No success has ever been attained without a pure obective born of beliefe in a result. what was yours..

I loved the movie. I cannot believe that the BGGWs could be so blind. They were talking about how greed would ruin the league? Well it did. THEIR greed, not the skaters. The skaters had reasonable requests, like having some say in things, insurance, communication, etc. But no. Nothing other than full control was enough for the BGGWs. Anya especially rubbed me the wrong way..

or maybe your wife sister (?) is just too out of shape to keep up. Roller Derby is more of a sport now than it ever was. Try going to WFTDA.com and checking out the rules and minimum skills tests. Roller derby requires real athletes who are tough. Maybe your wife might be able to go do the "roller derby" that is like professional wrestling where they throw you over the railing screeching like a banshee but you don't have to wear a helmet. Thats not a real sport. Believe me, I've seen my share of broken bones and I'm broke as hell but I still manage to pay my dues.

women from the 50's,60's,70's would kill the women that do this now....my wife sister was into the roller derby thing for years and she had alot of fun....she hates it now and she's not part of it anymore....the whole thing just became about money and fat ugly lesbian..........

Its a shame the three women who organized BGGW couldn't give up conrol. I thought their idea of a banked track was excellent (being a fan of true roller derby competition) but too little to late. Everyone seemed to have made some sort of peace in the end...that's the only thing that really matters. Very informative.

I have been a huge fan of roller derby most of my life. This documentary is good for the fact hunters, but i was expecting a good old derby movie.
