First a live action or model shot of an American F-100 Super Sabre. Then the flickering graphic from the Tactical Threat Library "almost" settling on a Soviet MiG-23 Flogger. Then finally a computer "Aha!" of finding the "Mirage", only it's another American bird, an F-111 Aardvark (unofficial tag) to be precise. Then we're back to the Super Sabre getting shot down.Oh man, the kind of stuff they used to pull on us. Not even any subtlety in shooting a fake aircraft scenario. I could understand not having a French bird to film in those days, I don't get why they didn't couldn't at least have the correct graphics to pop-up.
Hmm, well at least the MiG-23 and the F-111 were both swing-wing aircraft. "Close enough" as it were.Only, no Mirage variant has ever had variable geometry wings. *shakes head*
