It was an American sitcom. It was cancelled after four episodes.

The main problem I had with the American version was that I thought 5 out of the 6 main characters were miscast. The actor playing Jane nailed it, but nobody else was quite right, even though I have loved many of them in things they've done since then. See 7 other replies

If this was an American sitcom, the show would have continued on well past its expiration date.

The character of Jeff was endearing, but I think Oliver was a suitable replacement he just didn't have enough time to develop. See 7 other replies

Thank you Andrew. I am glad to know why Jeff disappeared but I think the writers could have had him periodically appear over the phone like that airline conversation earlier in the season. It just seems so odd Jeff disappeared and never was talked about again. See 7 other replies

Unfortunately, the actor playing Jeff chose not to return for season 4- it wasn't the producer's choice. They had to re-write the season for a new character. See 7 other replies
