i forgot all about writing that post (i don't really "do" the internet/blog/chat thing!). anyway, here's an update: i am now a proud owner of all of the "it's always sunny in philadelphia" episodes, and i enjoy them very much. i will not, however, rescind my first claim, as i still wholeheartedly declare that it does not hold a candle to the classics. not yet, anyway. maybe over time, like steven12x said, but i'm highly skeptical.
as for plunk88's comment, yes, i was absolutely admitting to my own ignorance. i don't find it a "delusional piece of twisted logic", however, because i owned up to it then (by my own volition, mind you, before i was "challenged" by said blogger), and i am once again doing so now. admitting ignorance is something i feel people don't do often enough-- let's not begin to analyze how many times a day we "form opinions" while still "ignorant". furthermore, how was it "self-imposed ignorance" when took it upon myself to become aware of/educated on the subject? i did my research (enjoyed the process!) and found that my hypothesis was correct. isn't that "self-imposed knowledge"?

lastly, while we all think we have exquisite taste, myself included, allow me to back up my previous seinfeld claim:

again, "it's always sunny" is hilarious. i highly recommend it, but i've seen better. it only has about 5 years left to prove me wrong...
