When Delenn wrestled for the pistol, she was in an emotional state and should have easily taken it away from the human. Mimbari have exceptional strength. Perhaps this was one of those details worked out in later episodes; but I found it made the scene a bit campy.

Hey, bub, did you watch these in order? the grey council was previously mentioned by the narn ambassador and the membari ambassador whipped out this crazy red ring crushed him all darth vader force choke style and made him swear not to speak of it. get your facts straight. (could be you didnt watch the pilot since its listed as "episode 23"

I'm watching these in order for the first time, so these are first impressions. The acting isn't that great. It's heavy-handed and kind of fake. I'm sure it will get better after the actors figure their stuff out.

This script is horrible though. Dialogue is bad and waaay too much info-dumping. And too much monologuing! What's up with the Soul Hunter just going on and on and on?

CGI sucks too.

This show is pivotal. It explains how important the soul is to the Minbari. Not only that it does exist in the series but that releasing them meant so much to her. Without this show later reasons for their surrender would be meaningless. It isn't until you watch the series once through that will you realize that every episode has story points that make the 5 year arc 1 great epic upon itself.

I've watched about 95% of the shows in this series and this one was definitely one of the worst.

"Grey council" is first mentioned in this episode by the Soul Hunter while in the med lab, which is scratching the surface of what to come in the future.

ARC story line and character development YES !!
not to mention that EVERY studio likes to meddle in the writers work!!
and as far as the BEST sci-fi of all time? no such thing as ALL TIME.
a good show but not the best of all time.

Bad acting? I dont think so.
bad scenes? maybe
what a dork the security officer walks into the iso chamber and THEN calls for help. instead of calling for help first. this was a bad scene because of this detail. a convenient way for the soul hunter to escape.
after all who knows what aliens really act like!!?
