Ok so NO this is NOT a Hollywood hit or any large budget, if ANY budget, film. I see it as a kind of coming of age story. You have this kid and his mini Jamaican adventure. People are judging it so harshly because their is only one familiar face on the screen for the majority of the film. *if you know what I mean. Open up. embrace culture... you'll see that this was a very interesting look at a less torist-y jamaica... from the eyes of this brat. He no doubt did some DUMB things and some of these characters might be a bit cliche, however, I like how he and the culture worked together and against one another at times. Norah Jones' name is bait. so what. nature of the beast.

Kinda cute, but never really fulfilled on the Comedy title. The leads acting was curious, and interesting to watch, but the story he was leading us through lagged and was out of focus. It's like, "The little story thet could", but never really did. There were several interesting situations, including suggestive questioning on his sexuality, but again, no real focus other then getting back to the states (kinda like watching a fly trying to find it's way back out of a house with only a few windows, stopping to do whatever the heck flies do when they stop inbetween their efforts, and then getting tired of watching it, but you keep watching 'cause you've got nothing better to do, and then he gets out, but you then wonder if it was worth watching or not. Either way, you did, and now you have a new relationship to the fly and the experience it had, but not much to tell anyone about, other then the fly found it's way out after getting stuck, struggled a bit now and again, and then finally got out - oh, shoot!) Sorry, I think I gave the story away.

Norah Jones,....'the' Norah Jones, was maybe in the beginning of the movie for,....3 minutes? You must have owed someone a favor. What's sad is this could have been a very avante garde movie, and interesting to boot. ALL of the cruise line footahe,....I thought for sure them woyld break into Celine Dion's "My Heart Will Go On". Sooooo many elders on the cruise ship,....are these folks the only ones to enjoy a cruise ship?....Jusat say'. Poor Jamaica,....made that country look like thieves and hustlers,.....my GAWD! leave your bag with strangers,.....really? it was a sad commentary on folks who licve in Jamaica,......could have been edited better,....and secondly, this guy Max,.......where did you find this guy? Is he even a professional actor? And let's not leave out the perv who hit on Max; gotta admit,.....there is plenty of food, anf the grand lobby.salon,....just vrammed with people,....Titanic anyone?This is a waste of time, film, and exterior shots (which could have been better) were a waste of a beautiful country.

very scary! don't ever go to Jamaica! I felt so bad for this kid.

I watched the movie that felt like part reality movie and part documentary and no "movie." Slow, aimless, and boring.
