if you have a fascination with stephen baldwin, this is your film. if you have a fascination with method acting, this is not your film.
this movie truly is a train wreck. i want desperately to look away, to allow my mind the time to paint over the grease, and gore; i cannot look away...all i can think about is how desperately i want this man of stone to convey any real emotion. the opening scene was nearly good acting, he was more in the moment, and more visceral in the first two minutes, than he was for the whole rest of the film.
now, to the nudity: i do believe that many men walk about their homes naked. i have lived with it, and it did feel organic; however i am afraid that poor stephen thought it made him a real actor--to give all of himself, body and soul. but the truth is, it came off a little stiff (no pun intended). he is too prepossessed with himself in this film. it is as if he believes having Alec for a big brother, and having all brothers resemble one another so well, means they can all act. clearly, that is not the case. (no wonder he's flipped his lid. poor fellow.)
