Accordding to the other two reviewers. this should have been not even shown- or made- as it's the worst movie, and worst portrayal of ANYone's story, coming out of the trajedy of Katrina. But, I think neither of these reviewers could, possibly, have watched the entire thing.
It was slow going, for some time. After a bit, though, I really did get into it. and, the so-called uptown problem these people (the doctor especially) were not dealing with very well, came together cohesively.
Sadly the main actors are BOTH very fine craftsmen, generally, but not so much this time.. or, I would have given it five stars.
To those who don't get it, this movie IS about post-traumatic stress disorders, and it's something I know much about. The entire feel of the movie was like LIVING through a PTSD attack, which can last for a long time..., so I get why they portrayed the people, the town, and everything--- even the music, as they did. IT IS NOT your typical hollyweird glitz and glamor, for sure! I did not love the ending, but I don;t think I was supposed to love it~ I do not think that was the point, which came across very well.
