YOU simply did not comprehend this-- it IS about PTSD, and when you look at it from that perspective, I think you would understand, It is not a movie or story to be liked, per-se, but anyone who's ever lived through ANY life-changing catastrophe would get it. OPEN your mind, watch it ALL..Maybe, watch it again; maybe, this time; watch and hear ALL of it?

Sorry, but I think you're wrong.
Even when Fatts says that the "doctor" has uptown-problems, it is saying that, unless one was POOR and from the lower-ninth, one really was not affected by the storm.
Of course, EVERYONE in N.O, was affected, in one way or another, by Katrina. Even we, in Austin, TX, wwere affected by Katrina and then by Rita, andl by Ike later on--as WE ended up with a good portion of the evacuees, and today, we still have some gulf-coasters and N'orleaners here.. and, we have the increase in crime from N.O. Our schools were closed, for weeks, and assistance from the USUAL sources, for our own population, were hard to come by. ALL of the south was effected; everyone -- EVERYONE from N.O. suffered SOME hardships, and this is what the movie was proving.
I think the movie is basically saying that everyone who was in this horrid, life changing, event came away changed. Nobody escaped unscathed. Now, could they have done a better job with this screenplay? yes, of course.. BUT, do not be so quick as to judge one or two person's stories, as you could not know ALL of them, whether you were there-- AFTER THE STORM, or not! YOUR jusgement was terribly harsh, for all of the wrong reasons-- imo.
