I believe the curse doesn't affect everybody only a few of the members of the Sohma Family (There is only 12 animals in the Zodiac, and in the episode with the hot springs the hostess doesn't turn in to a zodiac either) so it could be that Momiji's dad just doesn't have the curse. Honestly if Momichi's Mom who is not zodiac was able to be with Momichi's father to make Momichi then I think them turning into animals does not affect them "producing" children. And living with guys is not a horribly big thing, she was way more comfortable with the Sohma's than her own family, because they are polite and considerate imo. See 4 other replies

It is becoming obvious to me that Kyo is falling for Tohru, even though he would probably deny it, it is evident in the way he cares for her in this beautifully crafted episode!

I always wondered how Tohru would feel comfortable living with a bunch of boys when she's a girl and then I totally just realized they can't do anything inapropriate to her because they would turn into animals. Whew. That cleared up a lot in my mind. haha did anyone else think that besides me?
