Alot of "history" about drags that, excuse the pun, dragged on as the animated cars bored the crap out of me- good effort, but had to start skipping the automobiles dialogues.

Not a movie about Ed Roth(you can get more info about him on ratfink.com, plus get this DVD) not about the '60s(you could get that from anywhere else), just a sad ego trip from the producers. The thing I remember the most about Ed "Big Daddy" Roth-he supported the troops in Vietnam(at least his shirts did.).

I totally agree with Elliot. I am a big fan of Ed Big Daddy Roth. This documentary is so badly produced and boring I couldn't even stay with it long enough to get to his drawings. The bad animation and poor editing is amateur at best. It is a waste of your time.

As an artist and lifetime Fink fan myself, I was so excited to actually see a feature length Rat Fink movie about Ed Bid daddy Roth, After the first few minutes my excitement turned to disappointment. Slow paced, gimmick laden effects (Enuf with the computer faked 3D thing on old pics!! And the talking cars!?) This flick had more padding than a coffin interior. No disrespect meant to any of the very talented voiceover crew but what a misguided effort. When Big Daddy passed away Juxtapoz magazine did an amazing job encapsulating his lifetime and his impact on our society and art. The tagline read "The greatest Artist to ever have lived" or something along those lines, which surely would have embarrassed the late Ed Roth, but the point was his impact is still being witnessed today in car design, graphics, media, clothing, art and our culture. Ed "Big Daddy" Roth was an amazing man, and the goofy trite approach was hardly worthy of his talents.Glad the movie got made, sorry ti didn't live up to the legend.Long live RatFink. RIP Ed "Big Daddy" Roth.

Look, ..... I appreciate the effort here, but more time is spent on describing Hot-Rodding, rather than doing some research on Rat-Fink. I am an artist myself and pretty well known on the Biker circuit. My friends were friends of Roth. We never got to meet but sent messages through my friends. He was very generous with compliments and was very humble. Also I know he was known for doing custom bikes and such as well as bike and car shows after his name. (putting his cartoons on the multitude of things brought before him) The man never said no.....as far as I know.I can tell you this. This man would be embarrassed at the lack of effort to truly describe his accomplishments. Every kid in school that was artistically inclined......wanted to be able to draw his new incredibly original creatures and cars. Where is your attention focused? Simply a lesson on the origins of custom cars and hot-rods, which you also failed at. I am really sorry if I offend, but this man deserves a lot of respect and much more than he received in this piece. As an artist I know the struggle and pain it takes to get through time and receive the pay-off in the end. The pay-off is smiles and stories, and sharing feelings with strangers. It's also love. When an artist gives their love, it's almost never reciprocated to an equal level, and it's never expected to be....by the artist. (A true artist)One last thing,......lay off Goodman, it's his job to be an actor.

This film suffers from lack of content. The photoshop-like graphics making every photo "3D" really takes away from the film, and makes it appear they had no material. Too bad, because the story holds up--but not for the length of this movie. 30 minutes would have told it well.
