I agree on this, I think it makes absolute sense here how David mentioned the Titanic, so it probably best represents or atleast makes clear a few things about the direction of Caprica and how even though we all know the storylines, it doesn't take away from the shows uniqueness or something new or interesting being brought out.
It's true, the Titanic is a story which we all known the ending, however, actually seeing their version of this show on screen is what brings it's uniqueness out and draws the audience to see it.
It's the same with stories like Batman, Star Trek, and other shows, we all know many of the charactors and just because we know parts of the story and are familiar with the story arc what it's about doesn't mean it can't be a bit interesting or bring a new perspective.
The same goes for things like Star Wars in which many of the book have been out over the years and the Movies came out at a much later date finally reflect on alot which was in the books.
The same goes for a script that's already written before you have actors to fill that script so you can visualize the rest.
While I still wish Battlestar was still on and implementing such ideas, the new show still brings a few more perspectives with some fresh faces. I watch Caprica because battlestar isn't on, and i wouldn't be watching Caprica if it didn't follow the story arc or show atleast some of the concepts of Battlestar, however, I am glad to see a continuation on screen of more content.
I liked the Battlestar Galactica series, Razor, Battlestar Galactica: The Plan, and the webisodes as well, the actor casting was solid.
