A great documentary.
The daughter had a great outlook on life in spite of their dismal situation. The mother loved the ice cream, I also enjoyed the daughters vast eccentric wardrobe.

Mental illness is hard to cope with but at least they were delusional and did not have to face reality.

I don't understand what you mean by AA. Do you mean Alocholics Anonymous? I only saw one alcoholic drink the entire video, a beer with Little Edie. I agree the community of AA might help them, but any community would help them as far as I'm concerned. Just leaving the house for a walk downtown together. Even a bar, to be brutally honest!

Sorry, but the shaky camera with the constant zooming in and out and changing focus was literally nauseating. I lost patience after about 20 min.

I agree! So heartbreaking and sad- they had to have some kind of mental issues- especially little Edie- mostly I blame her mother. so sad! I do love them so! :( Little Edie only got away after her mom died- but still was a tortured soul. Mental illness is no joke. That is for sure.
