I'm am waiting for the day that this trend of making films about boring, self-absorbed, middle-class, 20-somethings doing absolutely nothing stops. Please, for the sake of mankind, let it end.
The lack of anything resembling a plot can be easily forgiven if you have interesting characters, or at least if there's something the filmmaker wants to say. Anything at all. I can't imagine what it is that this filmmaker wants to say about life or human beings. The cardinal rule about filmmaking is that you can do anything but bore your audience. Shock, tease, excite, humor, make them think, even confuse, anything, as long as you make them feel something. The most interesting thing during the film was the scene that prompted me to see if I could name the other 8 planets besides Pluto. I was successful. So, in a sense, the film did make me think. Go outside and stare at tree for 12 and half minutes. It'll be more engaging.
