I don't understand why you think this dub is bad...its isn't movie quality, but I wouldn't call it bad. Also, "it was written in a language that was never meant to be translated nor dubbed" that is just a ridiculous assertion. There is no reason at all why Japanese shouldn't be translated into other languages. For many people, it's difficult to read subtitles and still see what's happening on screen, and written text doesn't have the emotion that a voice contains.there are just as many bad voice actors in japan (probably more as they spend less money on their TV shows) as there are in the US, and in general, american voice actors are much better than the ones in japan. Case in point, the Japanese voice actors for Cowboy bebop were horrible, and the american ones were WAY better. (I speak Japanese btw) So if people prefer the dub, let them have the dub. There is nothing wrong with it. I think I like the manga of blade of the immortal better than this anime, but only because the artwork in the manga was breath taking. If they had translated that, and all the budhist symbolism into the anime, I would appreciate it more. But my recommendation is to read the manga after watching this, as the manga artwork is simply wonderful.   See 3 other replies
