With the cold weather coming and the Feds devaluing the dollar, we will see alot more homelessness. And this movie is right about one thing, when you are poor, you are invisible.
People have stopped caring for others and have focased on themselves. There are reasons/excuses but there is no solution.

And knowing about all the "red-tape" that Mitch had to go through.. he did fight long and hard to help anyone who was down and out... shame we do not have more of those kind of people these days... sad day when Mitch took his life.. he had so much life to give, and so many lives to save.. Mitch if you can hear any of us... May God bless you! Your job did NOT go un-noticed... thank you... when I do see a person who is in need, I cannot give them money, but I will buy them a hot meal and buy them food... this is all do to Mr. Mitch...

I wish we had more people like Mitch & politicians that cared now a days b/c we really need them. The scene w/the young couple that were homeless that reminded
me of what's going on with our brothers & sisters that have lost their jobs & homes. Maybe I should stop wishing & start doing. Oh, Mr. Sheen is also a great humanitarian. I belived he walked w/Mr. Cesar Chavez & for other causes. God Bless all humanitarians.

Martin Sheen as intense as usual. This is what the Obama administration is talking about when they mention community efforts. If only more people could pitch in and help today. This is what was ignored in the 80's during the Reagan administration, hence why I believe Martin Sheen took this role in 1985/86. He's been a contributor and an advocate for the needy for years.

I noticed no one has commented or rated this movie. Not much has changed since the 1970's has it? The homeless are a population that have NO voice, and are Invisible...lets keep it that way right?
